π¦ How a caterpillar becomes a butterfly
A butterfly starts life as a tiny egg on a leaf. Out of the egg hatches a hungry caterpillar, which munches leaves all day and grows fast. When the caterpillar is big enough, it builds a hard shell around itself called a chrysalis. Inside the chrysalis, something amazing happens: its body completely changes. This change is called metamorphosis. After about two weeks, the chrysalis opens β and out comes a butterfly with beautiful wings! The butterfly drinks sweet nectar from flowers, and one day it lays its own eggs on a leaf, and the circle starts again.
